"Are You A Groupie? "

No I am not trying to look back on the 1960's, I am extolling the virtue of being a part of a group that can be very beneficial. There is a lot of truth in being a part of a community whose goal is to strengthen, console, and support one another in a most difficult time in each other's life. In no other environment can I think of where each individual has more similarities and sympathies if not empathy. Where else could we go to receive comfort, if not from those whom we have in some way walked with?
In our communities or very close in proximity is an opportunity for us to experience just what I am describing. Are you aware that there are people in your neighborhood who perhaps have experienced the same type of loss, with which you are coping? Are you also aware that they also may have dismissed the idea of getting together with others, while they long for another soul who can identify with the feelings that they are living with?

There is a group meeting scheduled once a month in Bolivar, Henderson, Savannah, Selmer, and Waynesboro that seeks to accomplish this very goal of consolation and support, and you can be a part of that very special event. It will only take one hour of your time and may be worth more than silver and gold. After all what is our support or comfort worth during a time when we are learning to transition into a new and very different life? A life we did not ask for, nor did we desire for it to turn out the way it has. Yet here we are. Why not take every advantage to receive from others what family, friends cannot appreciate; how you feel, what each new day brings, because they have not walked in your shoes, or lived your life. So the next time you look at www.shackelfordfuneraldirectors.com search out the group schedule in your proximity. We look forward to seeing you there!
