Don Harold Lawrence is the Coordinator of SUNRISE. He earned his B. A. Degree from Bethel College, his Master of Divinity Degree from Memphis Theological Seminary, and his Certificate of Thanatology from the National Center for Death Education at Mt. Ida College in Newton, Massachusetts. He is a member of the Association for Death Education and Counseling. Don Harold has maintained a lifelong interest in grief education and the principles of treatment and recovery. He frequently participates in continuing education courses which focus on grief counseling, grief-recovery, and suicide prevention. He possesses skill as a writer and contributes to local and national publications. His SUNRISE column appears regularly in a number of local newspapers. He has also written, ..The History Of The Shackelford SUNRISE Grief Program." He is often invited to do educational presentations on grief in funeral homes, schools, colleges, churches, civic and community organizations. He also conducts grief workshops for professional groups and lay persons. Don Harold's wife, Emily, holds a BA Degree from Bethel College and a Master's Degree in Special Education from Memphis State University. She teaches-Special Education at McNairy Central High School in Selmer, Tennessee. Don Harold and Emily make their home in Hardin County, Tennessee.
