She was a retired machine operator and a member of Bethel Grove Church, Florence, Alabama. Mrs. Sanderson departed this life suddenly on Monday, July 2, 2018 at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin, Tennessee at the age of 85 Years, 2 Months, 15 Days.

She is survived by sons, Jack Bowers, Jr., wife, Elizabeth of Cypress Inn, TN, Jeffrey Bowers of Neosho, MO and James Rickie Guyton of Florence, AL; a daughter, Joan West of Iron City, TN; 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Carl Harper, wife, Judy of Iron City, TN; sisters, Sue Miles Wertz, husband, George of Gurley, AL, Barbara Long, husband, Flavis of Chattanooga, TN, Sally Brewer, husband, Benny of Gallatin, TN, Brenda Squires, husband, Keith Crow of Franklin, TN and Wanda Harper Thompson of Cypress Inn, TN; sister-in-law, Sallie Harper of Cypress Inn, TN; several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Sanderson was preceded in death by her parents, J. B. and Vera Wilson Harper; husband, John Sanderson; son, Barry Wayne Nafe; grandson, Chance Nafe; son-in-law, Junior West; sister, Tamzy Onell Harper and brothers, Odell, Larry and James Harper

Services will be held on Friday, July 6, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Gerald Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow in the Railroad Cemetery, Iron City, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, assisting the family. Visitation will be Friday, July 6, 2018 from 10:00 am to service time at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Zach Stults, James Bowers, Matthew Bowers, Mike Harper, Joseph Butler, Jeremy Brewer, Benny H. Brewer and Barton Harper with Chris Harper, Hurshel Miles and Chandler Squires as honorary pallbearers.
