Mr. Alvin C. "Buddy" Earnest, age 74 of Somerville, Tennessee, passed from this life Tuesday morning, June 20, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital in Bartlett.
Mr. Earnest was born in Grand Junction, Tennessee on Sunday, February 21, 1943 to the late Malvin Richard and Florence Ervin Earnest. On Monday, November 13, 1995, he was united in marriage to Joyce Earnest, who survives. He lived most of his life in Hardeman County and Fayette County.
He was a retired cattle farmer and was also a mechanic, working on automobiles and other machinery. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a member of Fisherville Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, survivors include his daughters, Tammy Cozart of Toone, Carrie Brazelton and husband Pete of Toone, and Angela Fish and husband Jason of Savannah; son, Al Tice and wife Brandi of Grand Junction; sisters and brothers, Ruth Bishop, Mary Jean Bishop, Sarah Bishop, Joyce Parks, Richard Earnest, Judy Earnest, Jackie Earnest, Douglas Earnest, Janie Pugh and husband Mark, and Frankie Thompson; grandchildren, Jessica Middlecoff, Patrick Middlecoff, Patti Graves, Candace Stevens, Reba Hensley, Reno Tice, Hailey Fish, Sierra Tice, Coby Hensley, Will Johnson, Carson Tice, Nate Kolb, Kayleb Tice and Harlee Tice; and great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn German, Hayden Kelly, Makayla Graves, Morgan Graves, Kylie Fish, Alisa Graves, Rylee Davis and Mason Tice.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Lisa White; infant son, Alvin Cleo Earnest, Jr.; sister, Sue Tucker; and nephew, Corey Earnest.
Charitable contributions made in Mr. Earnest's memory may be sent to the Woods Cemetery Fund.
