ANN HENLEY
Henderson, TN: Martha Annette Newsom Henley age 69 passed away June 20, 2018 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
She was born March 12, 1949 in Jackson, the daughter of the late Willard Ellis and Betty Anita Galbraith Newsom. She grew up in Chester County and attended Chester County High School. She married William Junior Henley in 1962 and he preceded her in death, September 14, 2006. She was a homemaker and had worked for a time at I Appeal in Henderson.
She was an avid reader, and especially enjoyed Harlequin Romances. She loved her grandchildren who affectionately referred to her as “Mamaw Ann”.
Mrs. Henley is survived by a daughter, Lorie Ann Henley of Henderson and two sons, William Odell Henley (Sherry) and Richard Scott Henley (Misty) all of Henderson; six grandchildren, Brad Henley, Hunter Henley, Bailey Henley, Colton Henley, McKenzie Henley and Portia Henley and one great grandchild, Lucas Henley and one on the way; and a sister, Evelyn Green of Henderson.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – East Main Chapel with Ken Kitchen officiating. Burial will follow in New Friendship Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at East Main Chapel 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday.
