Anna Lou Gobbell

Anna Lou Hollis Gobbell of Waynesboro, TN was born January 12, 1931 in Waynesboro, TN, the daughter of the late James Boyd and Nona Ann Lee Hollis. She was united in marriage to Robert Elwood Gobbell on June 21, 1947 and he preceded her in death on April 21, 1986.

Mrs. Gobbell was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Waynesboro, Tennessee and departed this life on Friday, December 4, 2015 at Waynesboro Health and Rehabilitation Center in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 84 Years, 10 Months, 22 Days.

She is survived by a son, Brent Gobbell and wife, Shannon of Waynesboro, TN; a daughter-in-law, Wanda Gobbell of Mt. Juliet, TN; grandchildren, Chris Gobbell, Ginger Richardson, John Ragan, Jr. and Brittany and Madison Gobbell; great-grandchildren, Zoe Jacobs, Alexander Elmore, Chandler Gobbell and Payton, Sarah, Kristina and Zachery Ragan; a sister, Nadine Sims and husband, Ray of Jacksonville, FL; nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Gobbell was preceded in death by a son, Robert Dwight Gobbell; a daughter, Sherry Ragan; brothers, Edwin Hollis, Leroy Hollis, Buford Hollis; sisters, Frances Ricketts, Josephine Dodd.

Services will be Monday, December 7, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Kevin Marston officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Garden, Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing.

Visitation will be Sunday, December 6, 2015 from 6 to 8 pm and Monday, December 7, 2015 from 9 am to service time at the funeral home.
