Arlie John (A.J.) Burks

Arlie John (A.J.) Burks was born July 8, 1923 in McNairy County, TN, the son of the late Earl and Ovada Gray Burks.
He was united in marriage to Martha Wigginton on October 3, 1942. Mrs. Burks preceded him in death on September 9, 2009. A.J. was a member of the West Shiloh Baptist Church in Stantonville, Tennessee. He was a retired carpenter, a 50 year Mason and worked on the Election Commision for 40 years.
Mr. Burks departed this life on June 2, 2015 in Adamsville, Tennessee at the age of 91 Years, 10 Months, 25 Days.
He is survived by a grandchild, Ben Burks of Selmer, TN. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Burks was preceded in death by a son, Charles Wayne Burks.
