Barbara Gale Dixon departed this life on Thursday, October 24, 2013, at the age of 68 years, 1 month, 10 days.
She was born in Cherokee, Alabama on September 14, 1945, the daughter of the late Finnis Leonard and Viola Beatrice Lindsey Wood. On September 14, 1979, she was united in marriage to Travis Wayne Dixon, who preceded her in death on May 5, 2003. She had been employed with Cookys Place, The Blue Bank, Greer Egg Farm, and was a member of Elks Lodge in Corinth, Mississippi. She was a warm kind hearted woman, with a "big heart", never met a stranger, and loved everyone she met. She loved her grandkids and her daughter very much.
Mrs. Dixon is survived by her daughter, Melissa Dixon of Florence, Alabama; grandchildren, Kristy Jordan, Cera Jordan, Jonathon Jordan, Katie Griffin, and Zach Griffin; sisters, Patsy Phillips of Muscle Shoals, Alabama and Beatrice Mills of Selmer, Tennessee; brother, Jack Wood of Muscle Shoals, Alabama.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Shirley Wright, Elizabeth Ezekiel, and Virginia Andis.
