Barbara Ann Laird Sallee was born on January 25, 1947, in Martin, Tennessee, the daughter of James Leonard Laird, who survives and the late Mary Louise Finley Pugh. She was a homemaker and enjoyed making quilts, blankets and pillows for her family.
Ms. Sallee departed this life on February 4, 2014, at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee, at the age of 67 years and 10 days.
In addition to her father, James "Pete" Leonard Laird of South Fulton, Tennessee, she is survived by her former spouse, Doug Sallee of Campbellsville, Kentucky; daughters, Kim Ewing, and her husband, Tim of South Fulton, Tennessee, Jenny Bryant of South Fulton, Tennessee, Amanda Mayo Candler and her husband, Jeremy of Parsons, Tennessee; stepdaughters, Chasity Shirley and her husband, Anthony of Campbellsville, Kentucky and Whitney Sallee of Lexington, Kentucky; sisters, Mary Grooms and Susan Cole of Union City, Tennessee and Sandy Elliott of Danville, Virginia; grandchildren, Joseph Tyler, Hannah Hunter, Waylon Williard, Justin Allen, Savanna Harris, Catlion Harris, Blake Ward, Madison Ward, Hailey Ward, Gavin Shirley, Jagger Shirley, Kingston Shirley; and great-grandchildren, Keegan Tyler, Peyton Tyler and Avery Hunter.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by four infant sons; and sisters, Martha Jane Laird and Sheila Pugh.
