Barry D. Young

Barry Dean Young, 52, passed from this life on Monday, September 8, 2014 at his home in Bolivar, Tennessee. Barry went home to be with the Father, God Almighty, after a 13 month brave and valiant fight against cancer. his unwavering faith in God, combined with the love and prayers of family, friends, and many supporters carried him through this last year.

Barry was born on April 11, 1962 in Fort Knox, Kentucky to Sergeant major Charles and Nina Young. The youngest of three children, Barry was known for his free spirit, bright smile, and mischievousness. Throughout his life, Barry maintained his unique but simple demeanor, continuously drawing others in through sincerity, compassion, character and love for both life and God. His sense of humor and contagious laugh never to be forgotten.

Barry is survived by his wife of 31 years, Beth, and their children, Ashley Young, Megan Young Nibber (Karan) and Heather Young Daughtery (Ben); brother, Steve Young (Gay); sister, Ramona Harris; nephews, Mark Long (Alicia), and Adam Richards (Kimberly); nieces, Erica Peterson, Madison Young, and Taylor Young; great-nephews, Mason Long and Chase Paterson; and great-nieces, Kaela Peterson and Madelyn Long.
