Bertie Ruth Paulson

Bertie Ruth Kelley Moore Paulson of Florence, AL, was born September 2, 1933 in Franklin Co., AL, the daughter of the late Homer Eylus and Maggie Pearl Borden Kelley. She was united in marriage to Billy Russ Moore and he preceded her in death. She married Don E. Paulson on May 29, 1966 and he preceded her in death on January 7, 2013.

Mrs. Paulson, a former resident of Wayne County, TN, was a private duty nurse and attended the Chirstian Fellowship Baptist Church in Florence, Alabama.

Mrs. Paulson departed this life on Monday, July 21, 2014 at her home at the age of 80 Years, 10 Months, 19 Days.

She is survived by sons, Billy Joe Moore and Dwain Moore and wife, Christi all of Iron City, TN, Donnie Paulson, Jr. and wife, Deborah of Guin, AL; daughters, Glenda Moore Franks and husband, Jack of Savannah, TN, Brenda Moore Beckham and husband, Jim of Leighton, AL, Vicky Moore Durkin and husband, Jon of Lexington, KY, Tobitha Paulson Bowsman and husband, Tony of Beech Island, SC; 27 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert Lee Kelley of Lawrenceburg, TN; sisters, Maudie Douglas of Kipp, KS, Linda Paulson of Kingman, KS; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husbands, Mrs. Paulson was preceded in death by daughters, Wanda Sue Moore Odle Dixon, Shelia Ann Moore; daughter-in-law, Debbie Moore; grandchildren, Ronald James Parrish, Jessica Nicole Tripp, Daniel Russ Baskins; brothers, Bufford and Paul Kelley; sisters, Birtha Wheeler, Annie Douglas; and three infant siblings.

Services will be Friday, July 25, 2014 at 1 pm at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel, Collinwood, TN with Bill Hamilton and Phil Sallie officiating. Burial will be in Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Pallbearers will be Dale Odle, Chris Odle, Rusty Moore, Russell Moore, Kelsey Moore, Eric Moore, Lance Tripp, Jason Parrish, Josh Holland, Michael Malone, Cameron Paulson, Jesse Bousman, Caleb Bousman, and Jacob Bousman.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 24, 2014 from 6 pm to 9 pm and Friday, June 25, 2014 from 9 am until service time at the funeral home.
