Mrs. Betty Poag Mansker departed this life on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at Waynesboro Health and Rehabilitation Center in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 82 Years, 8 Months, 12 Days. She was born February 19, 1935 in Waynesboro, TN the daughter of the late James and Elizabeth (Lizzie) Griggs Poag and sister of the late Maeola Poag Creecy.
She was united in marriage to John Mansker on June 1, 1956. Mr. Mansker preceded her in death on January 22, 2015.
Mrs. Mansker was a homemaker, crafter, avid gardner, excelled at the art of cooking and was a member of the Green River Baptist Church. Earlier in her life, while living in Michigan, she taught Sunday School, played piano at her church, and made clothing for an orphanage in Haiti. She was a mother to all who knew her.
She is survived by son, Gregory Mansker , wife Anette of Cornwall, PA., and daughter, Kimberly Mansker Gross, husband Dan of Warren, MI, and daughter Lori Mansker Rozell, Franklin, TN., grandchildren, Daniel , Andrew , Colin , Adrienne , Stephanie , Alicia , Rachel and Kristen .
In addition to her husband, parents and sister, Mrs. Mansker was preceded in death by her grandson Bradley Rozell.
Services will be held on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at 3:00 PM at Highland Methodist Church, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, with Brant Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Methodist Church Cemetery, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be on Saturday, November 4, 11:00 am until 8:00 pm and on Sunday, November 5, 10:00 am until 2:30 pm Shackelford Funeral Home, Waynesboro.
