Betty Joy Mathews

Betty Joy Mathews was born April 14, 1934 in Corinth, MS, the daughter of the late Charlie and Rebecca Barnes Fields.

She was united in marriage to Jack D. Mathews on January 25, 1951. Mr. Mathews preceded her in death on October 30, 2008.

Mrs. Mathews retired from Garan in Adamsville, TN. She was a member of the Court Avenue Cumberland Church in Selmer, Tennessee.

Mrs. Mathews departed this life on January 21, 2015 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 80 Years, 9 Months, 7 Days.

She is survived by two daughters, Tammy Howell and husband Danny of Horsby, TN, Sandy Robinson and husband Eddie of Bethel Springs, TN; a son, Terry Mathews of Hornsby, TN; six grandchildren: Ashley Mathews, Mathew Howell, Erica Heathcock and husband Robert, Zackary Howell, Tucker Robinson and Houston Robinson; two great grandchildren, Lee Heathcock and Tara Beth Heathcock.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Mathews was preceded in death by a brother, Cleborn Fields.
