Bobbie Mayer

Bobbie Mayer, age 79, of Toone, departed this life Monday, January 27, 2014 at Bolivar General Hospital.

The widow of Kenneth Mayer, who died in 2010, she was a homemaker. She was born in Hardeman County on November 24, 1934, to the late Oscar Hoyt Taylor and Cora Chandler Taylor and lived most of her life in Hardeman County. In her earlier years, she was involved with the Cub Scouts and worked at the Butcher Block. She dearly loved her family and taking care of her dogs. Mrs. Mayer was a member of First United Methodist Church in Bolivar.

Survivors include three sons and their wives, Todd and Donna Mayer of Toone, Tim and Gloria Mayer of Toone, and Ted and Sonja Mayer of Finger; 8 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Juanita Taylor Baker. The family requests memorials be directed to the First United Methodist Church in Bolivar.
