Mr. Bobby Gene Henley, age 75 passed away peacefully from this life with his beloved wife, Anita by his side on September 15, 2017 at his home in Henderson, Tennessee.
He was born October 15, 1941 in Henderson, TN the son of the late William O'Dell and Margaret Lillie Rouse Henley. He attended school in Chester County.
He was united in marriage to Anita Louise Richardson on October 11, 1975. He was an auto mechanic specializing in rebuilding transmissions but he could fix almost anything. He believed that usually with a little duct tape and WD40 most problems could be fixed. He was a man of few words but every now and then he could come up with the wittiest one-liners. He also loved fishing. He received Christ as his personal Savior on March 31, 1999 and was a member of Love and Truth Church in Henderson.
He is survived by his wife Anita Louise (Richardson) Henley of Henderson; three daughters, Stephanie Henley Ellington of Pensacola, FL, Trina (Henley) Miller and husband Lee of Henderson, Genie (Henley) Velasquez of Henderson; six sisters, Rosie Lara Wilkins of Houston, TX, Jeanette Jones of Jacks Creek, TN, Clara Mae Howell, Minnie Tidwell, Mary Creasy, and Patricia Johnson all of Henderson; a brother, Jackie Henley of Henderson; five grandchildren, Tiffany, Chelsey Miller, Brooklyn Miller, Haven Velasquez, Jude Velasquez; and two great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Henley was preceded in death by a sister, Maddell Stansell; three brothers, Billy Wayne Wiley, William Henley, Mike Henley.
Services will be held on September 17, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors-Johnson Chapel in Henderson, Tennessee, with Curtis Burgess and Ken Kitchen officiating. Burial will follow in the Johnson Crossroads Cemetery at Jacks Creek, Tennessee.
