Bobby Lee Turnbo

Bobby Lee Turnbo was born September 4, 1932 in Clifton, TN the son of the late Kennie Lee and Mary Alma Boyd Turnbo. Mr. Turnbo died Sunday, April 6, 2014 at Wayne County Nursing Home in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 81 Years, 7 Months, 2 Days. He was married to Mary Nell Simmons March 15, 1952 and she preceded him in death on January 24, 2004. Mr. Turnbo, a U.S. Army veteran, was retired from Murray Ohio in Lawrenceburg and was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by a son, Billy Dan Turnbo of Waynesboro, TN, two daughters, Jennifer Lee Frazier of Iron City, TN, and Barbara Ann Moore of Waynesboro, TN, three grandchildren, Ashley Looney of Sheffield, AL, Wesley Turnbo and Shelby Turnbo both of Waynesboro, TN, a brother, John Thomas Turnbo of Waynesboro, TN; three sisters, Dorothy Turnbo and Delia Collins both of Hohenwald, TN, and Betty Lineberry of Clifton, TN, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Turnbo was preceded in death by a sister, Clara Marie Bunch.

Services will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel in Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Casey Jones officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Waynesboro Memorial Gardens with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers are Donald Bunch, Manuel Turnbo, Jamie Turnbo, Terry Turnbo, Glen Frazier, and Richard Moore.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 9, 2014 from 6:00 PM-9:00 PM and Thursday, April 10th from 8:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
