Smiley, as he was known by all his friends, graduated from Bartlett High School and was a skilled electrician. He was a member of the Electrical Local Union #852 in Corinth, Mississippi. Carey was a avid fisherman, golfer and a dear friend to all who knew him. He loved to cook for those friends and his family and had a magic touch where food was concerned. The end result might not be exactly like what the television chefs would produce, but it was always good and everyone would show up when they knew he was in the kitchen. The compliments offered by his friends and family would bring the biggest smiles from him.
