Carmilla Inez Berry

Carmilla Inez Clay Berry of Waynesboro, TN was born December 16, 1922 in Collinwood, TN, the daughter of the late Henry and Lethia Clay. She was united in marriage to William Maynard Berry on November 4, 1939. and he preceded her in death on December 5, 1979.

Mrs. Berry was a retired sectionizer at Adam's Packing and was a former owner of Five Points Market while living in Auburndale, FL. She was of the Baptist faith.

Mrs. Berry departed this life on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at Wayne Care Nursing Home in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 91 Years, 1 Month, 5 Days.

She is survived by sons, William Maynard Berry, Jr. and wife, Inez, James Allen Berry and wife, Shirley, and Paul David Berry all of Waynesboro, TN, Donnie Berry of Columbia, TN, Ronnie Berry and wife, Sheila of Auburndale, FL, and Johnny Ray Berry of MS; daughters, Mary Sue Parker of Waynesboro, TN, Linda Gail Peoples of Auburndale, FL, and Judy Ann Lohr and husband, Mike of Columbia, TN; 26 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Berry was preceded in death by daughters, Martha Lorene and Shirley Jeanette Berry; grandchildren, Angie Busby and Virginia Smith; a brother, George Clay; and sisters, Elvira Clay Heard, Grady Clay Brewer, and Ruby Jo Clay.

Services will be Friday, January 24, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Casey Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the McGlamery Cemetery, Collinwood, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Pallbearers will be Bryan Berry, Larry Parker, Joe Swearengin, Doug Guy, Dewayne Guy, and David Skelton.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 23, 2014 from 6 pm to 9 pm and Friday, january 24, 2014 from 8 am until service time at the funeral home.
