Carrie Lorine Griggs Dunmire of Waynesboro, TN was born January 26, 1918 in Wayne Co., TN, the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Dixon Griggs. She was united in marriage to William Dunmire and he preceded her in death.
Mrs. Dunmire was a homemaker and a member of the Highland Park Baptist Church in Florence, Alabama.
Mrs. Dunmire departed this life on Sunday, April 20, 2014 at Wayne Care Nursing Home in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 96 Years, 2 Months, 25 Days.
She is survived by one niece, one nephew, several great-nieces and great-nephews and special friends, Janice Erwin and Lois Allen.
Services will be Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Cal Hampton officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens, Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County directing. Pallbearers will be James Griggs, Ralph Jr. Griggs, Tim Creecy, Tyler Allen, and Cole Creecy.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 22, 2014 from 6 pm to 8 pm and Wednesday, April 23, 2014 from 8 am until service time at the funeral home.
