Carrie Ferrell departed this life on Monday, March 16, 2015, at the age of 88 years, 10 months, 18 days. She was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on April 26, 1926, the daughter of the late James Elic and Ida Grimes Shaw.
On January 24, 1943, she was united in marriage to Robert Porter Ferrell, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Ferrell worked for Brown Shoe Company as a shoe cutter. She loved to crochet and was a member of the Spirit and Truth Sanctuary in Savannah, Tennessee.
She is survived by her daughters, Jane Ferrell and Janet Russell both of Savannah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Jonathan Ferrell, Christopher Ferrell, Stephanie DeLos Sontos, Amanda Russell, Thomas Russell, and David Bain; great grandchildren, Trevor Ferrell, Anslee Ferrell, Bailey Ferrell, Eli Ferrell, Berklee Russell, and Tyler Bain.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded by her sons, Robert Franklin Ferrell and Lloyd Eugene Ferrell; brothers, Paul Shaw and Bob Shaw; sisters, Cordie Cook, Mary Etta Shaw, Eunice Shaw, and Mamie Shaw.
