Cathy Potts
Lexington: Catherine Olitha Potts, age 64, died Friday morning July 3rd at the Henderson Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born in Hohenwald, TN, the daughter of the late Leo Guss and Martha Nell Loveless Potts. She graduated from high school in Pensacola, FL and attended Jackson State Community College where she received a degree. She had worked as a master engineer at “We Make Tapes” in Nashville, Proctor and Gamble in Jackson from where she retired, and currently was an electrical and instrumentation technician at Kellogg’s Manufacturing in Jackson.
Cathy’s family is not defined by blood alone, her friends are her family. Her sense of humor, compassion, kindness, and loyalty will be treasured by all that knew her forever. The loves of her life include; music, sunshine, warm weather, reading, and caring for her beloved pets, Charlie and Macha.
She attended Chapel Hill Baptist Church.
She is survived by three brothers; Steve Potts of Alexandria, VA, Ron Potts of Lexington, TN and Rick Potts of Jacks Creek, TN.
Memorial services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, July 7th at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with Bro. Hoyt Wilson officiating.
The family will receive friends at Shackelford – Casey Chapel beginning at 10:00 AM Tuesday.
