Charles Bickings

Charles “Charlie” Wayne Bickings was born April 29, 1945 in Chester County, TN the son of the late Charlie Floyd and Ruby Louise Pusser Bickings. Mr. Bickings departed this life on December 19, 2017 at his home in Henderson, Tennessee at the age of 72 Years, 7 Months, 20 Days.

Mr. Bickings attended school in Chester County. He married Annette Denbow on June 6, 1986. He worked in construction and was a also truck driver. He liked working in his shop and doing woodwork. He especially loved playing with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Mable Annette Bickings of Henderson, TN; two daughters, Cindy Robinson and husband Rick of Alamo, TN, Barbara Carroll and husband Shane of Finger, TN; three sons, Terry Bickings and wife Jennifer of Savannah, TN, Michael Matthews and wife Angela of Henderson, TN, Jerry Matthews of Henderson, TN; three sisters, Shirley Horn of Brownsville, TN, Donna Slaughter of Jackson, TN, Nancy Bickings of Chicago, IL; two brothers, Jerry Bickings of Jackson, TN, Donald Bickings of Henderson, TN; fourteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Francis Bickings and Irene Schoenke.
In lieu of flowers, it was Charlie's desire that donations be made to his family.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 22, at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Directors-Johnson Chapel in Henderson, with Bro. Bobby Bray officiating. Burial will follow in the Sweetlips Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 21 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Johnson Chapel.
