Clarence B. Goodrum Jr. age 69 of Hornsby, passed from this life Friday, July 12, 2013 at him home.
Born in Hornsby, February 14, 1944 to Clarence B. Sr. and Mildred Florence Sanders Goodrum, he was a Land Surveyor for Goodrum Land Surveying (27 years). Mr. Goodrum was a graduate of Bolivar Central High School and served his country with the United States Air Force from 1962 -1966. He and his wife Linda Joy Weir Goodrum were married on March 3, 1969. A musician, he was a well-known banjo picker, and also enjoyed gardening, woodworking and was an avid outdoorsman.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by 4 daughters, Jeannie Goodrum and former husband Kike of Spain, Debbie Young and husband Joe of Selmer, Crystal Gibson and husband Steven of Toone, and Becky Weaver and husband Luke of Henderson; 3 sons and their wives, Matthew and Jennifer Goodrum of Bethel Springs, Justin and Lydia Goodrum of Medon, and Ben and Kaila Goodrum of Middleton; 3 sisters and their husbands, Jewell and Jim Horner of Dyersburg, Jan and James Stack of Hornsby, and Janie and Ricky Overton of Bolivar; and by 16 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father Clarence B. Goodrum, Sr.
