Cleta Joyce Goodin

Mrs. Cleta Joyce Goodin of Waynesboro, TN departed this life on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, Tennessee at the age of 77 Years, 10 Months, 2 Days. She was born July 18, 1940 in Waynesboro, TN, the daughter of the late Clemon and Mable Lee Satterfield Meredith.

She was united in marriage to John Travis Goodin on June 28, 1993 and he preceded her in death on June 18, 2006.

Mrs. Cleta was a retired cook at the Wayne County School system and the Department of Corrections with the State of Tennessee and had attended Salem Primitive Baptist Church of Christ and Providence Primitive Baptist Church in Michie, TN.

She is survived by son, Jimbo Nutt, wife, Kim, Culleoka, TN; daughters, Pam Crozier, husband, Bill, Manchester, TN and Melissa Matthews, husband, Rowland, Georgetown, KY; grandchildren, Aron, Meredith, Josh, P. J., Katie, Tyler, Caleb, Eli and Graham; 8 great-grandchildren; brothers, Clifford Allen Meredith, wife, Wanda, Ringgold, GA and Jimmy Doyle Meredith, wife, Sandy, Adamsville, TN and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Goodin was preceded in death by daughter, Jamie Rosetta West and brother, Joel Lee Meredith.

Services will be Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Clifton Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery, Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Pallbearers will be Aron Mathis, P. J. Walker, Tyler Moody, Eli Moody, Caleb Nutt and Josh Tilley. Honorary pallbearer will be Graham Nutt.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 22, 2018 from 6:00- 8:00 pm and Wednesday, May 23, 2018 from 11:00 am until service time at the funeral home.
