Dannie (Boogie) Skimehorne

Dannie (Boogie) Skimehorne of Waynesboro, TN was born November 20, 1955 in Hohenwald, TN, the son of the late James Dexter and Mary Jane Staggs Skimehorne. Mr. Skimehorne was a disabled Bridge Crew Worker and was a veteran of the United States Army.

Mr. Skimehorne departed this life on Monday, September 15, 2014 at Wayne Medical Center in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 58 Years, 9 Months, 26 Days.

He is survived by brothers, Glenn C. Skimehorne, Dennis and Robert Skimehorne all of Waynesboro, TN; sisters, Barbara Gayle Reaves of Collinwood, TN, Wanda Faye Hill of Lawrenceburg, TN, Carolyn Nabors of Leoma, TN, Rebecca McMullin of Linden, TN; several nieces and nephews and special friends, Sandra Turnbo, Donna Thompson, Peggy Culp and LaDonna Brewer Capps.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Skimehorne was preceded in death by a brother, Tony Skimehorne and a nephew, Dale Skimehorne.

The family will have a memorial service on Sunday, September 21, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Forty-eight Creek Freewill Baptist Church near Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Larry Janes officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland United Methodist Church Cemetery, Lawrenceburg (Wayne County), Tennessee. At his request, his body will be cremated and Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County is assisting the family.

Visitation will be Sunday, September 21, 2014 from 1 pm to service time at Forty-eight Creek Freewill Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be given at Wayne County Bank.
