Danville C. (Dan) Wallace of Lawrenceburg, TN was born August 28, 1915 in Lauderdale Co., AL, the son of the late Lee V. and Josie Cody Wallace. He was united in marriage to Sarah Walsie Daniel and she preceded him in death on February 21, 1966. Mr. Wallace was retired from All Central Termite Company and was a minister of the gospel for over 63 years. He was a member of the County Line Full Gospel Church, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee and Wallace departed this life on Monday, December 2, 2013 at his home at the age of 98 Years, 3 Months, 4 Days. He is survived by three sons, Joel Wallace and wife, Glenda and Joseph Wallace and wife, Diane all of Waynesboro, TN, and James Wallace and wife, Augusta of Lawrenceburg, TN; two daughters, Rebecca Clark and husband, Virgil and Magdalene Hagan and husband, Jay all of Lawrenceburg, TN; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Freddie Wallace of Waynesboro, TN; two sisters, Carlene Butler of Mantee, MS and Nellie Helton of Waynesboro, TN; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel, Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Danny Clark and David Lambert officiating. Burial will follow in the Butler Grove Cemetery, Iron City, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County directing. Pallbearers will be Danville Wallace, Daniel Clark, David Clark, Jason Hagan, Isaac Clark and Chris Warrington. Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Wallace, Larry Wallace, Wesley Ricketts, Cody Ricketts, Michael Clark, Zac Clark, and Samuel Melton.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 3, 2013 from 6 pm to 9 pm and Wednesday, December 4, 2013 from 8 am until service time at the funeral home.
