DEBRA NEWCOMB KARR

was born in St. Louis, Missouri on October 5, 1963 the daughter of the late Raymond Olaen Owens and Virginia Ann Edwards Bridges.


Ms. Karr worked for Walmart as a cashier and had also worked for Golden Manufacturing for 10 years. She was a member of South Shiloh Full Gospel Church, where she enjoyed doing anything with the church. Ms. Karr also enjoyed scrapbooking, fishing and spending time with her grandchildren.

She departed this life on December 26, 2013 at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Mississippi at the age of 50 years, 2 months and 21 days.

She is survived by her children, James Newcomb and his wife Debbie of Adamsville, Tennessee, Sally Day and her husband Chris of Dennis, Mississippi, Brenda Pounders of Golden, Mississippi and Daniel Newcomb and his wife Hope of Golden, Mississippi

eight grandchildren, Brittany Newcomb, Katelyn Newcomb, Hannah Pounders, Bailee Ozbirn, Gracee Ozbirn, Ella Newcomb, Christopher Elder and Riley Ramey

one step grandchild, Holley Day

one sister, Anita Hager of Hamilton, Alabama

three brothers, Jessie Owens and Clifford Owens, both of Hamilton, Alabama and Dewayne Evans of Tupelo, Mississippi

Ms. Karr is also survived by her former husband, Butch Newcomb of Burnsville, Mississippi

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one grandchild, Braxton Newcomb, one infant sister, Brenda Lynn Owens, grandmother, Bertha Kennedy, father-in-law, Shorty Newcomb and her mother-in-law, Elaine Newcomb
