DON EDWARD PERKINS
was born in McNairy County, Tennessee on March 9, 1936 the son of the late Elbert Thomas Jefferson and Hattie Monetta Thrasher Perkins.
On December 21, 1956 he was united in marriage to Dorothy Jean Wade, who survives.
Mr. Perkins retired from Ford Glass Plant in Nashville, Tennessee where he was a fork lift driver. He also worked for Stauffer Chemical Company in Nashville, Tennessee. Mr. Perkins was a member of the UAW in Nashville, Tennessee. He was an avid sports fan, he loved the St. Louis Cardinals and the Tennessee Volunteers. Mr. Perkins enjoyed fishing, playing cards and dominoes.
He departed this life on July 26, 2014 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 78 years, 4 months and 17 days.
In addition to his wife Dorothy of 57 years, he is survived by his children, Deborah Jean Perkins Reynolds and her husband Howard of Kingston Springs, Tennessee, Lori Ann Perkins Martin and her husband Michael of Nashville, Tennessee and Greggory Scott Perkins and his wife Sara of Kingston Springs, Tennessee
four grandchildren, Tabitha Lynn Crow McCoy of Kingston Springs, Tennessee, Michael Brandon Crow of Ashland City, Tennessee, Dylan Wade Perkins of Kingston Springs, Tennessee and Olivia Grace Martin of Nashville, Tennessee
four step grandchildren, Jonath Allen of Kingston Springs, Tennessee, Joshua Hogan of Nashville, Tennessee, Samantha Groves of Kingston Springs, Tennessee and James Thomas of White Bluff, Tennessee
five great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Michelle McCoy, Michael Andrew McCoy, Taylor Ryan McCoy and Christopher Andrew McCoy, all of Kingston Springs, Tennessee and Steven Michael Crow of Ashland City, Tennessee
Mr. Perkins is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one brother, Joe Robert Perkins
