Donald Ledford Benson, Jr. (Red) was born in Wilcox, Arizona on January 7, 1963, the son of Neomi Ruth Collier Esquibel and the late Donald Ledford Benson, Sr. He departed this life on January 31, 2018, at the age of 55 years and 24 days.
Red, as he was known by friends and family, was an ordained minister. He was a caregiver, available 24/7, for his father for the last ten years of his life. Red enjoyed hunting, fishing, and arrowhead hunting, and is remembered as a sportsman and outdoorsman.
In addition to his mother, Red is survived by his daughter, Kym Benson of California; brothers, Greg Benson and wife Dana and Troy Benson, both of Savannah, Tennessee; and a sister, Cindy Brady and husband Bill of Vail, Arizona.
