Mr. Donald "Don" W. Copeland, age 77, of Michie, departed this life Thursday evening, March 27, 2014 at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth, Mississippi.
The husband of Brenda J. Copeland, who survives, he with the owner/operator of Don's Machine Shop on Hwy 64 in Bolivar, retiring in 1995. He was born December 28, 1936 in Alcorn County, Mississippi, son of the late William Hal and Lorena Roy Copeland and lived most of his life in Hardeman and Madison Counties. He served in the US Air Force and was a member of the VFW. He was active in the Masons and enjoyed hunting and fishing. His family states that he always put in a garden every year, loved being around his family and working out. Mr. Copeland was a member of Acton Church of Christ.
In addition to his wife, whom he married on January 13, 1995, survivors include two sons, Donald Wayne Copeland, Jr. of Stanton, CA and Damon Bradford of Ft Levenworth, KS; a daughter, Denna Farris of Cleveland, TN; two stepdaughters, Ginger Jimmerson of Toone and Misty Burnette of Middleton; a stepson, David Masengill of Middleton; three sisters, Jeanette Coln and Ann Coln, both of Michie and Beth Smith of Cleveland, MS; and 11 grandchildren.
