Earl R. Hinkle

Earl Robert Hinkle was born April 26, 1939 in Conestoga , PA the son of the late Robert and Mildred Kreidler Hinkle. Mr. Hinkle graduated from high school in Landisville Pa, and entered the US Army in 1955 retiring in 1978 as a Master Sergeant. and later worked for Dyno Tron in Germany. He and Mrs. Hinkle moved to Enville in 1998, allowing her to return close to the place she was born and raised.

Mr. Hinkle was a very active member of the community, and a member of the Henderson Masonic Lodge # 485 F&AM, the Memphis Valley Scottish Rite, Al Chymia Shrine Temple in Memphis, a member of the Muester Masonic Lodge # 831 in Ulm Germany, the American Legion Post 241, where served as the finance officer,and was also very active in area Community Centers and loved to play music and entertain and a devout Christian who practiced the Presbyterian Faith.

Mr. Hinkle departed this life on March 23, 2014 in Humboldt, Tennessee at the age of 77 Years, 10 Months, 25 Days.

He is survived by his wife Alma Jean (Garity) Hinkle of Enville, TN; a step son, Paul Michael Ross of Louisville, KY; a sister, Karen Hess of Lancaster, PA; a brother, Gene M Hinkle of PA. two grandchildren, Amber Michelle Wesley, Robert Wesley.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Hinkle was preceded in death by a brother, Dale E Hinkle.

Services will be held on March 28, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors-Johnson Chapel in Henderson, Tennessee, with Rev. Bill Evans officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery at Enville, Tennessee.
