Eddie Neal (Mac) McDaniel was born February 19, 1950 in McNairy County, TN the son of the late Charles Edward and Ernestine Henson McDaniel.
He was united in marriage to Kay Thompson on June 8, 1974.
Mac was a 1968 graduate of Adamsville High School. He earned his undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville; he then attended Memphis State University where he earned a Masters in Education and his J.D. professional degree. Mac served on the Boards of West Tennessee Legal Services, Farmers and Merchants Bank, and McNairy County Developmental Services. He was a Dixie Youth League baseball coach for more than 20 years, and operated the football and basketball scoreboards for Adamsville High School. Mac served on the Stantonville Board of Aldermen, was a member of the Adamsville First Baptist Church, and was a former member of the Stantonville Ruritan Club. He was presently serving as the Assistant District Attorney for the 24th Judicial District, and had formerly served in the same capacity for the 25th Judicial District. In his free time, Mac enjoyed woodworking, arts and crafts, visiting flea markets, and was an avid collector.
Mac departed this life on November 5, 2013 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 63 Years, 8 Months, 17 Days. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Kay McDaniel of Stantonville, TN; a son, Jeremy McDaniel of Stantonville, TN; his beloved pet Mastiff, "Jerry Garcia,' and many extended family and friends.
Services will be held on November 9, 2013 at 3:00 PM at First Baptist Church in Adamsville, Tennessee, with Phil Mitchell and Robert Lee officiating. Burial will follow in the West Shiloh Cemetery at Stantonville, Tennessee. Memorial contributions in memory of Mac may be made to McNairy County Developmental Services.
