Edna Mae Garrard departed this life on Sunday, February 25, 2018, at the age of 76 years, 3 months, and 21 days. She was born in Wayne County, Tennessee on November 4, 1941, the daughter of the late Edgar James and Juanita Daniel Combs. On March 20, 1970, she was united in marriage to Danny Garrard, who survives.
Edna Mae and her husband were owners of Garrard Pest Control, and she served as office clerk. She had also worked for Brown Shoe Company and River Heights Manufacturing. Edna loved spending time with her family, her grandkids, and her great-grandkids. She also loved to embroidery, cross-stitch, and was a member of the Bruton Branch Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of almost 48 years, Danny Garrard of Savannah, Tennessee; children, Steven M. Pettigrew and wife Paulette, Belinda Hope Young and husband Jeff, and Angela McGuire and husband Dudley, all of Savannah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Jeremy Pettigrew, Mariah Harrison and husband Nathan, Brittany Clausel and husband Jonathan, Brooke Young, Cassie Phillips, and Cody Phillips and wife Mary; great-grandchildren, Riley Harrison and Harper Harrison; brother, James Combs of Adamsville, Tennessee; and sister, Linda Whipkey of Vacaville, California.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Billy Combs.
