Ellen (Polly) West Bryan

Ellen (Polly) West Bryan of Westpoint, TN was born March 6, 1938 in the daughter of the late Luther Halmen and Ada Ann Holt West. Mrs. Bryan died Friday, October 24, 2014 at her home in Westpoint, Tennessee at the age of 76 Years, 7 Months, 18 Days. A former resident of Detroit, she had worked at Mechanical Laundry, Beckers Produce, and Southwest Apparel. She was a member of Teamsters Local 337 and Macedonia Baptist Church. On December 23, 1953 she was married to George Bryan and he preceded her in death August 14, 2013.

She is survived by a son, Larry Bryan of Westpoint, TN, two daughters, Sheryl Robertson and her husband Joel of Collinwood, TN and Glenda Cornett of Westpoint, TN, grandchildren, Billy Cornett, Diane Monette, Joseph Cornett, Casandra Andrews, Jennifer Nazars, Lisa Bryan, Dustin Bryan, Jacob Robertson, and Molly Robertson, great grandchildren, Nadine, Adelin, John, Collin, Blake, Parker, Seth, Zoey, Emily, Elijah, and James, sister, Birdie Thompson of Iron City, TN. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Bryan was preceded in death by three brothers, James, Floyd and Herbert West.

Services will be held Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel in Collinwood, Tennessee with Tim Hanback officiating. Burial will follow in the Collinwood Memorial Gardens with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be Monday, October 27, 2014 from 6:00 PM - 9:00 pm and
Tuesday, October 28, 2014 from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Matthew Daniel, Doug Bolitho, Jacob Robertson, Dustin Bryan, Joseph Cornett, and Tony Arnett.
