EMMA MAXINE WILLIAMS RUSSOM
Henderson, TN: Emma Maxine Williams Russom age 97 passed away Tuesday May 5, 2015 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
She was born February 9, 1918 in the Five Points Community the daughter of the late John Henry and Eva Christine Wooley Williams. They lived in the Five Points Community. She went to County Line School where Mrs. Minnie Roberts was her teacher. They called the school Possum Trott. She worked at Salant & Salant shirt factory for a while.
She was a member of Big Springs United Methodist Church.
She married Guy Monroe Russom May 16, 1942. They made their home in Chester County where they farmed until his death.
They had one son, Larry Russom and wife Lori of Five Points, AL; three grandsons, Justus Russom and wife Angela of Humboldt, Guy Russom and wife Stephanie of Humboldt and Shane Russom and wife Tammy of Milan; six great grandchildren, Bradley Russom, Brooklyn Russom, Hayden Russom, Jaxon Russom, Derek Russom and Brenan Russom; a brother, Elton Wayne Williams of Jackson and a sister, Carolyn Haynes of Union City.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Gerald Williams, James (Jim) Williams, Benjamin (Ben) Williams and Roy Allen (Pete) Williams and three sisters, Mary McCormick Murchison, Betty Griffin Stewart and Eva Joy Wamble.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday May 9, 2015 at Shackelford Funeral Directors - Casey Chapel with Bro. Abe Russom and Bro. Jimmy Dyer officiating. Burial will follow in Big Springs Cemetery near Pinson, TN.
The family will receive friends at Shackelford – Casey Chapel from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday.
