Mrs. Euin Lallion Barrier, of Harrisburg, Arkansas, departed this life on Sunday morning, July 21, 2013, at Woodbriar Nursing Home in Harrisburg, at the age of 97. She was born February 23, 1916 in Waterloo, Alabama, the daughter of Amie Zackry Franklin and Rachel Matilda Shepard Franklin. She married Dueward Glynn "D. G." Barrier on March 5, 1933 and they enjoyed 65 years together before his death in 1998. Mrs. Barrier, formerly of Savannah, Tennessee, retired from the Food Service Department at ASU in 1982 and moved back to her home area. She remained in the Savannah area until 2005, when she moved to Harrisburg. She loved to sew and make quilts and loved spending time with her family. She was a member of the Harrisburg Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, three sons, Donnie Barrier, Billy Barrier, and James Barrier, and eleven siblings. She is survived by three daughters, Delena Ware, Eva Hooker, and Wanda Lee, all of Harrisburg, one son, Dueward "J. R." Barrier of Natural Bridge, New York, 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. The family has requested that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
