Eunice Elton (Chug) Nowlin

Mr. Eunice Elton (Chug) Nowlin departed this life on Friday, February 5, 2016, Wayne Medical Center in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 81 Years, 8 Months, 2 Days. He was born June 3, 1934 in Wayne County, the son of the late Garlin G. and Opal Blanch Blackshear Nowlin. In addition to his parents,
Mr. Nowlin was preceded in death by two sister, Nellie Clay and Dorothy Kaplan.

He was united in marriage to Elloy Sims on November 1953. Mrs. Nowlin preceded him in death on December 16, 2013.

Mr. Nowlin was retired from TVA as a Iron worker and a member of the Iron Workers Local 477. He loved working on the farm with his cattle and raising a garden.

He is survived by a daughter, Judy Brown and husband Dennis of Smithland, KY; two sons, James Nowlin of Clifton, TN, and Robert Nowlin of Centerville, TN; grandchildren; Will Brown, Rose Brown Maupin and Erica Nowlin Pitts, 7 great grandchildren and 2 step great grandchildren.

Graveside Service will be held on Monday, February 8, 2016 at 10:00 am Philadelphia Cemetery in Waynesboro, Tennessee with David Miller officiating. Burial will follow with Shackelford Funeral Directors in chargeof the arrangements.

Visitation will be on Sunday, February 7, 5:00-7:00 PM and on Monday, February 8, 8:00 am until 9:30 am.
