Evelyn Walker Pevahouse

EVELYN WALKER PEVAHOUSE

was born in Decatur County, Tennessee on September 16, 1922 the daughter of the late Jerry Mar and Vannie Davidson Walker.

On April 29, 1944 she was united in marriage to Milburn Johnny Pevahouse, who preceded his wife in death on November 12, 2004.

Mrs. Pevahouse was a homemaker, devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She worked gardening, farming and cooking for her family. She insisted all visitors to her home sit and eat at her table. She was a wonderful cook and loved to have birthday parties and celebrations with her family.

Mrs. Pevahouse departed this life on June 26, 2015 at her residence in Clifton, Tennessee at the age of 92 years, 9 months and 10 days.

She is survived by her children, Rebecca Barnes of Hohenwald, Tennessee, Regina Hamm and her husband Steve of Adamsville, Tennessee and Reba Shelby of Clifton, Tennessee.

7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Milburn Walker Pevahouse and two sisters, Cora Marie Hardin and Dannie May Pigg.
