Freeda Alexander Delaney

Freeda Alexander Delaney was born on September 8, 1941, the daughter of the late Earnest H. and Helen Lucille Collins Alexander. On June 29, 1962, she was united in marriage to Robert Allen Delaney, who preceded her in death on October 1, 1984. Freeda departed this life on December 3, 2017, at the age of 76 years, 2 months, and 25 days.

Freeda attended the Saltillo Church of Christ. In her lifetime, she worked as a CNA at ProCare and Baptist Health, at H.I.S. Manufacturing in Saltillo, Tennessee, and as a secretary for the Hardin County Board of Education. Freeda enjoyed sewing and reading. In her later years, she listened to her favorite books on tape. Freeda loved her grandchildren.

Freeda is survived by her son, Robert Lee Delaney of Sardis, Tennessee; daughters, Gina G. Forsythe of Sardis, Tennessee and Sharon Singleton of Beech Bluff, Tennessee; sister, Frances Holcomb of Saltillo, Tennessee; and grandchildren, Megan Delaney, Jonathan Delaney, and Nicholas Delaney.

In addition to her husband and parents, Freeda was preceded in death by her grandchild, Robert Singleton.
