Gail Russell

Gail Russell was born on August 2, 1955 in Hohenwald, Tennessee, the daughter of the late James Edward "Pop" Smith, and Willie Virginia Harville Smith. She spent her childhood and teenage years growing up in Clifton, Tennessee, graduating from Frank Hughes High School before moving to Savannah. On June 9, 1978, she was united in marriage to Warren Keith Russell, who survives.

Gail retired from Brown Shoe Company, where she had worked as a sewing machine operator for many years. She enjoyed painting, arts and crafts, and playing games, her most favorite being BINGO. She was a very fun person to be around, always telling jokes, playing pranks, and trying to make people smile. She loved her son and husband dearly, as well as her other family and friends, by whom she will be sorely missed.

Gail departed this life on August 1, 2015 at her residence in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 59 years, 11 months, and 30 days. In addition to her husband, she leaves behind her only son, Craig Edward "Bud" Russell, of Savannah, Tennessee;

One sister, Genia Mitchell, and one brother, Paul Smith, both of Savannah, Tennessee.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Deborah Ann Smith.
