George Edward Comer

George Edward Comer departed this life on February 11, 2015 in Corinth, MS at the age of 73 Years, 11 Months, 20 Days. He was born February 22, 1941 in McNairy County, TN the son of the late Alexander and Hazel Ruth Rickman Comer.

He was united in marriage to Mardell McClain on March 3, 1962. He was a Construction Worker and had previously worked at Coca-Cola in Corinth, MS.
He was a Baptist.

Mr. Comer enjoyed fishing, working on lawnmowers, and watching wrestling. He loved his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren very much.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 53 years Mardell Comer of Guys, TN; two sons, Jerry Comer and wife Deanna of Stantonville, TN, Gary (Popeye) Comer of Guys, TN; two daughters, Sherry Vincent and husband James of Corinth, MS, Cheryl (Molly) Comer and boyfriend Norman Faulkner of Selmer, TN; nine grandchildren, Samantha Bennett and husband Brandon, Cody Comer and wife Brooke, Anthony Comer, Stefanie Comer and fiance Nic Lott, Tyler Wilmeth, Braxton Comer, Spencer Comer, Kyle Comer, Brooke Vincent; two great grandchildren, Ellory Bennett, Ansley Bennett; four sisters, Maggie Webb of Michigan, Jo Rickman of Selmer, TN, Linda Hurley of Ramer, TN, Sue Pickens of Stantonville, TN; three brothers, Dubert Comer of Adamsville, TN, Bill Comer of Michie, TN, Harold Comer of Adamsville, TN and a host of extended family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Comer was preceded in death by four sisters, Ruth Bishop, Louise Bishop, Brenda Kay Comer, Delores Ann Comer; four brothers, Ray Comer, Hubert Comer, Lee Comer, Charles R. Comer.
