Gracie Mae Haley Wesson departed this life on Saturday, February 8, 2014, at the age of 91 years, 2 months, 30 days.
Gracie Mae was born in Mississippi on November 9, 1922, the daughter of the late James Elbruch and Winnie Adline Keller Haley. She was a homemaker and a member of the Savannah First Baptist Church. She enjoyed storytelling and spending time with her great grandchildren.
Gracie Mae is survived by her daughters, Bobbie Powers of Milan, Tennessee, Ruth Burns Reynolds of Evansville, Indiana, Mary Murphy of Reed, Kentucky, and Shirley Franks of Savannah, Tennessee; sons, Larry Wesson, Clarence Wesson and Tommy Wesson all of Savannah, Tennessee, and Marvin Wesson of Biloxi, Mississippi; 22 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry (Owen) Wesson; son, David Wesson; grandchildren, Roger Murphy, Kirsten Leigh, Brian Burns, and Larry Joe Smith, Jr.; great grandchild, Jayden Wesson; 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
