Grady Tucker

September 11, 1929 — September 7, 2014

Lowell Grady Tucker was born in Counce Tennessee on September 11, 1929. The son of the late Kin T. Tucker and the late Barbara Rebecca Barnes Tucker.

On April 4, 1953, he was united in marriage to Sue Qualls Tucker, who survives.

Mr. Tucker worked as an electrician for Tennessee Valley Authority for thirty-six years. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local #852 in Corinth, Mississippi. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a Staff Sergeant, 3rd Infantry Division, 7th Infantry Regiment. He served as a medic. He was awarded the Bronze Star with Valor attachment, a Combat Medical Badge, and a Korean Service Medal. He was a member of New Life Pentecostal Church in Savannah, Tennessee. He enjoyed going to church, singing, playing the bass guitar, horseback riding, and four wheeler riding. He was very proud of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife of sixty-one years, Sue of Savannah, Tennessee, he is survived by his daughter, Susan Tucker Ray and her husband, Ben Ray of Savannah, Tennessee. Two grandchildren, Myshelle ReNae Ray of Savannah, Tennessee and Shauna Nichole Ray East and her husband, Jordan East of Corinth, Mississippi. Three great-grandchildren, Jacob Taylor Milam, Benjamin David Milam, and Levi Jordan East of Corinth, Mississippi.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Jack Tucker and Sherman Tucker; seven sisters, Bertha Dill, Angus Burks, Annie Mae Bonds, Eva Peyton, Pearl Tucker, Cleo Marlar and Dona Grisham.
