Mrs. Farrell, age 81, of Saulsbury, passed from this life Saturday morning, January 11, 2014.
Mrs. Farrell was born April 16, 1932 to James W. and Pearl Hannah Bryant in Ripley, MS. She was married to Rev. John V. Farrell on May 2, 1953 who passed October 8, 2003. A former resident of Bolivar, she managed the Highland Garden Apartments for 20 years and opened Coleman's BBQ in 1973. She was a member of Vildo Pentecostal Church and a former member of Forest Hill Pentecostal and Faith Tabernacle Church in Medon. She enjoyed crocheting blankets and teaching Sunday School.
Survivors include 3 daughters, Sandra Gillespie and husband Haltom of Dumas, AR, Wanda Graham and husband Keith of Saulsbury, and Kathy Keller and husband John of Middleton; 1 son, Donnie Farrell of Bolivar; 1 sister Ruby Stanley of Middleton; 1 brother Hugh Odell Bryant of Counce; 8 grandchildren D.J. & Chris Farrell, Angie Lowell, Brandon, Brian & Lora Beth Keller, and John & Scott Gillespie; 9 great grandchildren and 1 on the way. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Catherine Rixie, Eva Sue Bryant, and Blanche B. Farrell; and by 4 brothers, Joe, Emory (Bud), Murry and Jim Bryant.
