To prepare for the ministry he attended Northeast Mississippi Junior College, Booneville, Mississippi; Clarke Memorial Junior College, Clinton, Mississippi; and graduated with a B.S. in Education from Mississippi College, Clinton, Mississippi in May of 1965.
