Harold B Caperton

September 28, 1922 — November 18, 2013

Harold B Caperton was born on September 28, 1922 in Olive Hill, Tennessee, the son of the late Noah B. and Fannie Abernathy Caperton. On May 24, 1942, he was united in marriage to the late Johnnie Tidwell, who preceded her husband in death on February 9, 1991.

Mr. Caperton was a retired Rural Letter Carrier for the United States Postal Service in Adamsville, Tennesse, for whom he had worked for a number of years. He had also owned and operated J and H Variety Store, and co-owner of Tidwell and Caperton Lumber Co.

Mr. Caperton was a member of the First Baptist Church of Adamsville, Tennessee, where he had served as a deacon for over 60+ years. He was also a former member and president of the Adamsville Lion's Club, and a member of the Rural Letter Carrier's Association.

He loved attending church and loved feeding his family.

Mr.Caperton departed this life at his residence in Adamsville, Tennessee on November 18th, 2013 at the age of 91 years, 1 month, and 27 days.

He is survived by his daughters: Sue C. Kennedy and husband Billy Joe of Savannah, Tennesse, and Nancy C. Hodge of Adamsville, Tennessee.
Five grandchildren: Michelle Wilkes and husband Jeff of Savannah; Karen Broadway and husband Robbie of Savannah; Catherine Morris of Adamsville; Chris Collins and wife Jackie, and Brian Collins and wife Jessica, all of Chesterfield, Missouri. Seven great-grandchildren; Kennedy Wilkes, Wheeler Wilkes, Harley Catherine Morris, Belle Broadway, McKinley Collins, Harper Collins, and Emma Claire Collins.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was also preceded in death by one daughter, Beverly Caperton Collins; two brothers, Wilbur Caperton and Wallace Caperton, and two sisters: Reesa Smith and Mary Kalbach.
