Hattie F. Baker

Hattie F. Baker was born January 3, 1932 in Ramer, TN, the daughter of the late James Edgar Lee and Violet Mae Leatherwood Martin.

She was united in marriage to Eugene Houston Baker on December 6, 1956. Mr. Baker preceded her in death on May 22, 1979. She was a member of the Antioch Church of Christ in Ramer, TN. Hattie was also a member of: Ramer Ruritan Club, Ramer Senior Citizens, and the McNairy County Democratic Party. A friend to all and stranger to none, Hattie loved caring and seeing to the needs of others. She loved working with her hands, such as crocheting, gardening and working in the yard. Most of all, Hattie loved serving God and her family.

Mrs. Baker departed this life on January 30, 2015 in Ramer, Tennessee at the age of 83 Years, 27 Days.

She is survived by her children: Peggy Berryman and husband Jimmie, Kathie Berryman and husband Dennis, Tim Baker and wife Susan all of Ramer, TN; her siblings: Lillie Emerson and husband David of Henderson, TN, Elizabeth (Bug) Carter and husband J.V. of Pocahontas, TN, Andrew Martin and wife Linda of Ramer, TN, Dorothy Winters and husband Jimmy of Ramer, TN, Tommie Carter and husband Albert of Pocahontas, TN, Shirley Wren and husband Larry of Chewalla, TN; her grandchildren: Anthony Berryman and wife Paige, Stephen Berryman both of Ramer, TN, Josh Berryman and wife Elizabeth of Selmer, TN, Allyssa Baker, Alexis Baker both of Ramer, TN; her great grandchildren: Lucy Berryman, Trudy Berryman, Jace Berryman and Matthew Wilson all of Ramer, TN; a sister-in-law, Barbara Martin; and a host of nieces and nephews: Jamie, Jimmy and Justin Hodge, and others.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Baker was preceded in death by two sisters, Iller Teague and Mildred Thomas; two brothers, James A. Martin and Pete Martin.
