Henry B. Elder was born November 17, 1943 in Rienzi, MS the son of the late William Carlyle (Bud) and Minnie Lois Sims Elder.
He was united in marriage to Lena Conella Scott on December 23, 1970.
Mr. Elder was a graduate of Pisgah High School in Pisgah, MS and was retired from retail sales. He was a devoted University of Tennessee fan who loved watching all ball sports. Mr. Elder played baseball while in school and had a promising career that was cut short by an injury. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Mr. Elder was a member of the Adamsville Church of God of Prophecy.
Mr. Elder departed this life on June 9, 2017 in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 73 Years, 7 Months, 2 Days. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Lena Conella (Scott) Elder; two daughters, Michele Lee Elder and Amanda Leigh (Elder) Franks and husband Tim; six grandchildren: Judas Cross, Allan Bates, Hunter Morris, Jorden Elder, Breanna Wilson, and Megan Wilson; a great-grandchild, Anastasia Nicole Bates; a nephew, John Wesley Hamlin and wife Oma; and many extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Elder was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Chambers, and three brothers: Robert Elder, Keneth Elder, and William Elder.
