HOMER K. (BOOTS) HOWARD
was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on August 5, 1921 the son of the late William Henry and Mattie Lena Irvin Howard.
On September 2, 1944 he was united in marriage to Edna Louise White, who preceded her husband in death on July 23, 2007.
Mr. Howard was a self employed painter and also was a school bus driver for Hardin County Board of Education. He was a member of Pyburn Union Church, Savannah Masonic Lodge #102 and 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason in Corinth, Mississippi. Mr. Howard loved to dance and listen to music.
He departed this life on March 3, 2014 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 92 years, 6 months and 26 days.
Mr. Howard is survived by his children, Jimmy Wayne Howard and Donny Ray Howard, both of Savannah, Tennessee
four grandchildren, Jonathan Howard, Derek Howard, Amy White and Darren Howard and nine great grandchildren
one sister, Mary Gale Harmon
In addition to his parents and wife of 62 years, he was also preceded in death by four brothers, John, Raymond, Robert Roosevelt and Ed Howard, two sisters, Oma Mae Howard O'Neal and Zelphia Messner, two half sisters, Mag Weaver and Rhoda White and one half brother, Leonard Howard
