Horace J. Sanders was born July 16, 1933 in Stantonville, TN the son of the late Willie and Nola Roten Sanders.
Mr. Sanders owned and operated the Michie Amoco for several years. He was constable for 12 years in the 7th district, Michie. He was an avid gardener often working sun-up to sun-down in his garden. He was a member of Michie First Baptist Church.
Mr. Sanders departed this life on January 28, 2018 in Adamsville, Tennessee at the age of 84 Years, 6 Months, 12 Days. He is survived by his wife Barbara Sue (Emmons) Sanders of Michie, TN; a daughter, Mia Angela (Sanders) Porter and husband John; two sons, Jeffrey D. Sanders and wife Connie, Nelson Jerome Sanders; five grandchildren, Melissa (Sanders) Price and husband Richie, Bridget Lockwood and husband Chris, Daniel Porter, Deana Richardson, Jeffrey T. Sanders; 4 Great Grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Sanders was preceded in death by three brothers, James, Avis, and Gerald Sanders; two sisters, Ruth (Sanders) Schlesser, Laverne (Sanders) Knight.
